Voy is a science-backed weight loss application, combining breakthrough medication with health coaching & lifestyle changes that helps users track their weight loss progress and learn more about their nutrition habits.

The problem is that most users don't look to refer others onto the platform.
We want to understand why & look to improve referral rates 🚀
Our Hypothesis
We believe that we can increase our referral acquisition rate by 15% per month, if we:
Leverage incentives to entice users with our reward system
Attract good quality leads with suitable rewards
& Increase visibility of nudge mechanisms for current users
With an improved user experience, this should allow for easy sharing for our current users & smooth onboarding for our new users as we welcome them to Voy.
This initiative aims to bring in new long-term customers for Voy who will use our product and increase revenue for the firm and remain on our platform as a part of our growing community.

Based on user research findings, we found that majority of users actively want to refer users but the issue remains on how, to which we can provide a more intuitive experience to facilitate referral rate growth and satisfied customers incentivised to share & bring new users

With the introduction of Component Sets, Nested Instances & Variants, we eliminated the need to break components for customisation - a major flaw with the old design system. Designers are now able to customise without the need for detaching instances, allowing for a more sustainable & scalable design system that promotes consistency & reduces errors - supporting the team, not hindering it.
